The Coronavirus pandemic has put unprecedented pressure on everyday life for almost everyone in the county of Kent, especially our Carers.
RWYS is now able to help carers access and benefit from professional mental health support, connect with others experiencing similar struggles, stay positive, develop personal coping skills and get through the current emergency.
For a limited period of time we will be providing online counselling and telephone support for Health and Social Care Carers in Kent and for family members who may be caring for a loved one at home. Helping them to connect to virtual support networks of people in similar situations. The online and telephone 1:1 services are available at a time to suit carers and counselling sessions can be held by telephone or video call (Zoom, Skype, Facetime, WhatsApp). All calls are taken in the strictest confidence.
We realise that the pressures that at-home and professional carers face, are not unique to the Covid-19 crisis, and they face challenges every day. We hope to raise further funds, to expand this service and be able to continue providing telephone and online support for carers indefinitely.
